A2P 10DLC SMS Consent — Public Evidence
Cary by Field Elevate Management LLC · Last updated: May 10, 2026
This page exists for Twilio A2P 10DLC reviewers and TCR auditors. It documents Cary's current A2P 10DLC campaign. The campaign uses one CTA only: the public SMS opt-in page at https://cary.com/sms-opt-in. Anyone can read this page and the linked opt-in surface without an account or login.
SMS is optional and OFF by default. Consent is never required to use Cary, create an account, or complete any transaction.
Creating a Cary account and using every feature — chat, voice mode, calendar, contacts, in-app reminders — works fully WITHOUT SMS. No signup step, feature, or transaction requires SMS consent, and SMS consent is never bundled with the Terms of Service. SMS reminders are turned on only when a user deliberately chooses to, by completing the separate, voluntary opt-in described below.
1. SMS Reminders Are Optional
SMS reminders are optional and voluntary. Cary SMS is used only for user-requested reminder notifications. Users can use Cary's chat, voice mode, calendar integration, contact management, AI assistant, and in-app reminders without opting in to SMS. Cary works with or without SMS reminders. Cary does not send marketing, promotional, affiliate, lead-generation, or third-party offer texts.
2. The Public Opt-In Surface
The campaign's only opt-in CTA is the public page at https://cary.com/sms-opt-in. The page is server-rendered, requires no login, and can be reviewed directly by Twilio.
The opt-in form contains:
- A US mobile phone number input.
- An unchecked SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox is blank by default and is never pre-selected.
- A submit button that activates only after the user actively enters a phone number and checks the consent box — because this page is the voluntary opt-in itself. The page is entirely optional: a user who does not want SMS simply leaves it and continues using Cary normally. Nothing elsewhere in Cary requires reaching or completing this form.
- A 6-digit verification code sent through Twilio Verify after the user submits the checked consent form.
The user enters the 6-digit code to complete opt-in.
3. What Is Not Claimed as SMS Opt-In
- /onboarding/phone is not the SMS opt-in CTA for this campaign. It is account/contact phone capture only.
- Account profile phone entry is not SMS opt-in.
- Saving or providing a phone number in Cary does not enroll the user in SMS reminders.
- START keyword opt-in is not claimed for this campaign.
- Settings, profile phone capture, and onboarding phone capture are not being submitted as SMS opt-in paths for this filing.
4. The Exact Consent Checkbox Label
The label rendered next to the unchecked SMS consent checkbox reads verbatim:
I agree to receive SMS reminder notifications from Cary by Field Elevate Management LLC. SMS opt-in is voluntary; Cary works fully for users who never enroll. Message frequency varies based on reminders I create. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Terms: https://cary.com/terms. Privacy Policy: https://cary.com/privacy.
Consent comes from the user actively checking this separate box and completing phone verification. Providing or saving a phone number by itself does not enroll a user in SMS.
5. Required Disclosures
- Program name: Cary SMS Reminder Notifications by Field Elevate Management LLC.
- Program description: SMS reminders for tasks and appointments the user explicitly created in Cary. No marketing, no promotional content, no affiliate offers, no lead generation, and no third-party offers.
- Message frequency: message frequency varies based on how many reminders the user creates.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt-out:reply STOP to opt out at any time. Opting out of SMS does not close the user's Cary account.
- Help: reply HELP for instructions, or contact help@cary.com.
6. What Does Not Constitute Consent
- Creating a Cary account does not enroll a user in SMS.
- Saving a phone number to a Cary profile does not enroll a user in SMS.
- Agreeing to Cary Terms does not enroll a user in SMS.
- Using Cary without SMS is allowed.
7. Submitted Message Flow Should Match This Page
Users opt in voluntarily at https://cary.com/sms-opt-in. SMS reminders are an optional feature, OFF by default and turned on only by the user. Creating an account and using every Cary feature works fully without SMS — no signup step, feature, or transaction requires SMS consent, and consent is never bundled with the Terms of Service. The page is public, server-rendered, and requires no login. Users who want reminders enter a US mobile phone number and actively check an unchecked SMS consent checkbox; leaving the box unchecked simply means no SMS, and the user keeps using Cary normally. After submission, Twilio Verify sends a 6-digit code; the user enters that code to complete opt-in. Cary can be used without SMS. Terms: https://cary.com/terms. Privacy Policy: https://cary.com/privacy. Public evidence: https://cary.com/a2p-sms-consent.
