Cary’s Past, Present, and Future
With a life-long history in Wake County, Ken George has witnessed first-hand the tremendous growth in our town. Ken is a husband, father, grandfather and small business owner in Cary. (His third son owns a business here as well.) His passion for Cary began at a young age, while he was attending Cary High School and marching in the band. His experience as a long-time Cary resident, raising his children and grandchildren in our local communities and schools, offer Ken a unique perspective about the key issues facing our community.
The Right Entrepreneur for Cary
Ken started a photography business when he was 15 years old, getting a privilege license for his business on Jones Franklin Rd. This entrepreneurial spirit is what eventually led Ken to found NetSmart, Inc. in 1995, in Cary with his wife Karen.
As a Cary small business owner for over twenty-five years, Ken understands the unique issues facing local businesses and brings a valuable business perspective to the Cary Town Council, especially as we look towards the future and emerging from the pandemic.
